Abstract
One of the key computer engineering education issues is the question of cultivating students´ practice and innovation capabilities to meet the growing regional needs. To best reach the objectives, we increase practice time of curricula, adjust contents of experiments by reducing demonstrative and confirmative experiments, increasing designing and comprehensive experiments. We set up funds of science and technology innovation for undergraduates and construct opening laboratories where students can attend research projects under the guidance of professors. Also we cooperate with engineering and technical personnel of IT enterprises to build our practice bases. This paper presents the mechanisms in our computer engineering education, which aim to enhance the undergraduates´ practice and innovation capabilities and to better prepare them for entry into a rapidly changing and highly competitive marketplace
