Abstract
The virtual distance in modern society is getting shorter than ever before. Most of the members in the society are doing things by collaborating with others. Technology is busy keeping up with such trend. The rapid development of high speed Internet and easy access to World Wide Web enable Web based virtual collaboration system inevitable choice for many occasions. In this paper, we are proposing the Web-based virtual collaboration system where multiple users can collaborate regardless of their geographical location or time zone. The proposed system, multiple conference virtual collaboration (MCVC), categorizes users by their conference of interest and accommodates multiple conferences at the same time. Users can participate in more than one topic simultaneously based on their needs. Optional multimedia presentation may be provided to the participants before the discussion begins. Conferences are performed by using digital images and associated spatial data elements from the participants. Associated spatial data elements can be symbols such as arrows or polygons along with text. The content of each conference - spatial data elements from the participants with respect to certain topic - can be recorded into an XML file and archived for future reference
