Abstract :
Presents a checkpointing and process migration mechanism for parallel application in network-based computing environment. This mechanism can meet the requirements of the reliability and maintenance of network computing environment. The background of checkpoint and rollback recovery techniques is reviewed, and the software architecture with enhanced ability of checkpointing and process migration is described. The detailed protocol implementation is presented and rather good results are obtained
