Title :
Sphygmochronomat: a package for the non-inferential and inferential chronobiometry of blood pressure monitoring using microcomputers
Author_Institution :
Endocrine Pathophysiol. Dept., Rome Univ., Italy
Abstract :
A computer comparison of individual blood pressure profiles over time, with reference limits derived from databases obtained from clinically healthy peers, is summarized on special forms, called Sphygmochrons. an integrated system written in BASIC for a fully automated compilation of the Sphygmochron is presented. It is interactive and user-friendly and can accommodate both nonambulatory and ambulatory devices for the noninvasive monitoring of blood pressure. It constitutes an online bedside system for a real-time computation of the Sphygmochron
