Abstract :
A standard dipole has been developed for measurements between 30 MHz and 1 GHz on an open-field site. The insertion loss between two such dipoles above a metal ground plane has been measured. The agreement between measurement and theory was ± 0.25 dB. This shows that the standard antenna is accurately calculable and that the site is of high quality for the measurement of antenna factors
