Abstract :
The authors deal with multipath propagation effects on microwave links operating at medium bandwidths (30-100 MHz), by means of computer simulations of the propagation channel´s transfer function (TF). In medium bandwidths, the propagation channel´s transfer function may be represented by simple mathematical models providing a good trade-off between the number of representative parameters and the fit between the observed and mathematically modeled transfer functions. The authors discuss the normalized two-ray (NTR) model described by M. Sylvain and J. Lavergnat (see Am. Telecommun., vol.40, no.11, p.584-603, 1985), which involves only three parameters b, τ and φ. The TF´s statistical behaviour may then be evaluated by determining the distributions of these parameters
