Abstract :
Computers, that enable better productivity and accuracy, are in common use today. Personal Computers requires two stage Switch Mode Power Supplies(SMPS) with multiple outputs delivering stiffly regulated and isolated DC voltages at different levels along with improved power quality. SMPS is the most prevailing architecture for DC power supply in modern systems, due to its ability to handle variable loads. A non isolated bridgeless Cuk converter operated in discontinuous conduction mode is used for power factor correction at front end. A half bridge converter has been used at the output end for achieving high frequency isolation and multiple DC output voltages. Such a configuration is considered as a better solution for obtaining the power quality and voltage regulation needed in situations of varying input and load fluctuations conditions. Performance of SMPS units is analyzed in Matlab/Simulink Software.
