Abstract
Now developers can use Flash and Flex Builder together for their increased use Flex-based rich interactive elements. Grounded on such a background, we designed and implemented “MLBS”. In our design, state-of-the-art technologies adopted cover the following areas: mobile positioning, including GPS, GPSOne, CELLID-based positioning, network technology, GIS system, Database, XML, O/R Mapping, Flash, ArcGIS Server, FLEX, etc. The system finally constructed is a highly-integrated web-based information-sharing platform, a solution for location-based services. The thesis begins with a brief introduction to the concept and the background of the LBS, related research and the objectives of system design, followed by the design principle and design guideline of GBLS will be covered in detail, as well as the architectural and functional designs. Meanwhile, the thesis presents a detailed analysis on the implementation of the StarMap sub-system, and an in-depth discussion of the key technologies used in the system. The result of experiment also verifies the correctness and feasibility of the proposed in the paper.
