  • Abstract
    The one layer codec presented is based on a discrete time Markov chain. The two layer model is modelled by its individual layers. Both are derived from an analysis of video conference data. The models are simulated using a commercial discrete event simulation tool. Evaluations of the characteristics of each source are presented, as are the capabilities and limitations of the models
