  • Abstract
    This paper gives an overview of the studies accomplished by COST 231 members on the subject of trellis coded modulation (TCM). We establish first the interest of TCM for mobile systems by examining its bandwidth efficiency and potential performance. Then, we give simulation results concerning co-channel interference, the interleaving delay constraint, post detection diversity and frequency hopping
