Abstract
Industrial online monitoring requires systems with capabilities for the integration of different types of sensors and communication between controllers, sensors and actuators. To cover these needs, a sensor network with online processing capabilities and low-power consumption is desirable. The contribution of this work is the development of a low-power wireless sensor platform which allows the incorporation of different sensors and complies with the reconfigurability requirements for industrial applications including complex processing for each node in the network making it suitable to be adapted for low-rate and medium-rate applications. In this work, a case of study of micro positioning measurement is implemented in order to test the performance of the developed platform.
