            Abstract : 
In this paper, a flux estimator for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) is proposed. The estimation scheme is based on a two dimensional graphical signature obtained using a projection from a high dimensional space containing past measurements in a moving window into the 2D plane. The stator voltage signal is used for signature generation. It is shown that generated signature is correlated to the flux variations. A flux estimator can be designed based on a relevant signature´s character which is correlated to the flux value. Numerical results using an experimentally validated model show the relevancy of the proposed estimation scheme. The latter can be easily adapted to diagnose magnet faults leading to flux variation.
