Abstract :
We report a novel method for measuring wide-band dispersion characteristics of electro-optic (EO) and thermo-optic (TO) switches based on a white-light interferometry. The dispersion spectra of the EO and TO coefficients of the optical switch materials over a wide wavelength can be determined with this method for potential applications of the switches to wide-band wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) signal processing.
