Abstract
In order to effectively decrease the cost of logistics transportation and increase its efficiency and enterprise competitiveness, a WebGIS & Web service-based logistics information system is implemented. This system not only overcomes the defects of logistic Web site´s sealing property and its inconvenience in implementing sharing information, but also extends information to mobile terminals which are widely used. The practical operation and testing show that this system can commendably implement information sharing and real-time tracing of vehicles, greatly reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of enterprise operation.
