Abstract :
A blind channel estimation for MIMO STC-OFDM is proposed based on nonredundant linear precoding. The precoding introduces correlations to the inputs. By modifying and eigen-decomposing the statistical autocorrelation matrix of the frequency domain received signals, the channels are estimated subject to a matrix (with size 2K times K, where K is the number of transmitters) ambiguity. Several precoding matrices are given, which do not change the power of the precoded block and have fast algorithms to implement the precoding and decoding. The frequency domain method is applicable to CP-OFDM. Simulations show that the method is effective and robust
