Abstract :
This paper presents the speech coding algorithms in the WCDMA-AMR vocoder, with emphasis on their novel characteristics, theoretical foundations and the multi-channel implementation based on the TMS320C6000. Simulation results are identical, bit by bit, to the test sequences provided by 3GPP. Quality of the synthetic speech of the real time hardware is superior to that of the RPE-LTP according to some informal listening tests
