Abstract :
Since the service control point (SCP) is a unique and centralized functional entity to execute a service logic program (SLP) in intelligent networks (IN), it is becoming the chief bottleneck of IN. In order to improve this problem, a current commonly adopted method is call limitation when the overload occurs. This paper introduces multi-SCPs to the IN model for improving the situation and analyzes the load control requirements of the multi-SCPs IN model. Since multiple SCPs are introduced to the IN model, the call distribution and load control mechanism are discussed. Then a practical load control algorithm is given for multi-SCPs IN. Finally, the simulation results of the algorithm are given
