Abstract :
Laser performance of Yb:YAG ceramics and single-crystals doped with different Yb concentrations was investigated using two-pass pumping miniature laser configuration. Better laser performance was observed for heavy-doped Yb:YAG ceramic than single-crystal (CYb = 20 at.%).
