Abstract :
In this paper, the early development and preliminary evaluation is presented of a new approach for delivering educational material, administering assessment, and gathering survey data, within the Second Life virtual world. The ´quizHUD´ is part of the SLOODLE project, and is designed to encourage an exploratory attitude to learning, while administering assessment using a mixture of multiple choice and environment interaction questions.
