Abstract :
The electric conductivity of filled polymers is realized by means of two mechanisms, ohm and tunnel. Ohm electric conductivity is caused by direct contact between conducting particles of a filler. The electric conductivity tunnel mechanism takes place when contact between particles is realized by means of a thin polymer film, with possible emission of electrons through it. The probability of the ohm mechanism increases when filler concentration increases. At the same time the probability of the tunnel mechanism decreases. The goal of this paper is to investigate the influence of mechanical load on volume resistance of the dispersive-filled polymers, and the stability of the polymer under mechanical load. Samples of butyl rubber containing 28 % technical carbon P-234 were used as an object of investigation
