Abstract
This paper makes a brief review of the conceptualizations and operationalizations of person-organization fit. With various operationalizations, most researches about person-organization fit have verified the relationships between fit and employees´ working attitudes and outcomes. However, we find that there has not been a consistency about the content of person-organization fit which will probably limit our ability to compare the relative researches directly or to explain the effects of different aspects of fit on the employees´ working attitudes and outcomes. The main purpose of this paper is to clarify the multidimensional content nature of person-organization fit. In this paper, we also raise the propositions about the content dimensions of person-organization fit including value fit, personality fit, goal fit and needs-supplies fit. This paper is an innovative attempt in proposing a multiple-content-dimension framework for person-organization fit.
