Abstract :
Mobile agent technology has been receiving much attention. Using this technology, we have proposed a multi-agent system named Agent Gateway. In this system, to support location transparency, the routes used for agents´ migration are also used for inter-agent communications. However, this system has a problem in that agents cannot communicate with others by a node failure on the routes. To. overcome this problem, it is necessary to set up a new route to go around a failure node. We propose a fast and efficient dynamic routing method. This method finds a roundabout route efficiently by using trace records of agent activity. Finally, we confirmed that the proposed method greatly decreased the total number of messages and made a new route faster than the existing self-healing method by simulation experiments
