Abstract :
There is a problem of transition through resonance in mechanical systems with rotating rotors, the unbalance of which varies from start to start. Centrifugal exactors are classified among them. During rotor acceleration, especially for the machines with bounded power of drive motor, resonance oscillations with great amplitude occur. In certain cases, the system might not get over the resonance and the rotor of the engine fails to gather speed. It results in intensive bearing unit degradation. To study such situations, the author presents a mathematical modeling scheme of rotor system transients with tunable structure
