  • Abstract
Kinetics research was performed with 40 experimental fusions. Samples of metal (103 samples) were selected and then their chemistry was defined. Moreover, samples of slag (51samples) were selected. The content of nitrogen in metal was defined by vacuum fusing with the device TN-114. The chemistry of slag was defined by the following procedure. Nitrogen content was defined with the escalograph EAO-202 of the "Balzers" company. Oxygen content was defined by the method of vacuum heat. Metal and slag samples and the gauging of oxidisability were carried out at 30-50 °C during "fusing. One of the important tasks of the induction fusion is obtaining low-sulfur cast iron. The technology of metal desulfurization was combined with metal heating up to the temperature of heat time treatment. The kinetic analysis of cast iron desulfurization was carried out
