Abstract :
In this paper, we give an overview of the basic design principles and trade-offs of output-buffer ATM switching. Output-buffer switches give optimal performance in terms of offering bandwidth guarantees to individual flows. Bandwidth scheduling and memory bandwidth requirements are also described
