Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel approach for video song detection using continuity of audio segments. Our approach exploits the fact that songs sequences have continuity rather than non-songs sequences. The method relies on continuity of audio channel intensity value which is used to retrieve the beginning point of the range and ending point of the range. The generated range is further used to compute run-length of audio segments which leads to promising song sequences. Continuity is tested on audio clues like Silence Ratio, Tempo to differentiate song and non-song portion. The proposed method is tested on various genre based movies like Romantic, Comedy, Action, Suspense, Family and Feature.
