  • Abstract
    Gaoyuan Village of Hongkou Township, Dujiangyan was selected as the typical case of investigation and research. Sampling questionnaire survey was made on the conditions of 60 households in 2004, 2007, 2010. The index system for evaluation of rural settlement development capability in disaster area was established by in combination with the characteristics of the disaster area. The index weight was determined by applying AHP method supported by entropy technology, and typical settlement was evaluated by using fuzzy mathematics method. It was discovered that the disaster prevention capability of the settlement has been greatly improved since 2004, but the development capabilities of people have always been the factor constraining the settlement development. The overall development capability of the settlement has not been changed too much.
