Abstract :
Today deregulation has started in nearly all European countries. The degree of opening in the markets and the market models are still very different. Comparable between these national markets are the principal new facts coming up with deregulation: customer orientation, competition and unbundling of the companies. This leads to a number of new requirements for the corporate strategy: organisation, business processes, information technology, data management as well as the internal and external communication. Therefore it is essential to define an IT strategy. This is the only way to ensure the future of today´s investments.
