Abstract :
The stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in high-power ytterbium-doped fiber laser with typical end pumping scheme is investigated. A special Yb-doped large-mode- area (LMA) double-cladding fiber is designed for enhance the SRS effect in continuous wave (CW) fiber laser. And a near 300 nm ultra-broadband CW super-continuum source with maximum output power of 2.6 W centered at 1400 nm is demonstrated based the SRS in the Yb-doped fiber laser.
