Abstract :
Measurement of optical scattering parameters of five internal organs of mongrel dogs are performed at 632 nm using a He-Ne laser reflectometer. The absorption and scattering coefficients are calculated from tissue reflectance for the Monte Carlo simulations to simulate the multiple scattering of radiation in these organs. Due to the differences in the scattering and absorption coefficients of tissues the reflectance and absorbance patterns within the tissues show marked variation for different tissues. Depth dependence of the distribution of photon absorption are also observed
