Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of the use of similar transmission lines to represent a trunk of a little more than a half wavelength (HWL+) in order to conduct an on-site energization test. The validation of the AC-Link Test is performed through the analysis of two-port elements constants in the frequency domain. Time domain simulations are also presented to the studied trunk. Results of the response of the AC-Link are analyzed and also it is established the limits of different transmission lines that can still represent a HWL+ trunk in order to enable similar tests within different power systems.
