Abstract :
In this paper we propose an IEDL dynamic model for analyzing file diffusion in a peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing network. According to the principle of the P2P file diffusion system, each peer not only shares the downloaded parts of the file, but also downloads the needed parts of the file. This behavior is similar to the spreading of epidemic diseases. We apply the well-known medical model SEIR to analogy of P2P system. There exits four types of peer which are peers in the state of idles, peers in the state of exposed ,peers in the state of downloading and peers in the state of being a lecher. Model of IEDL is used to simulate the dynamic behavior of the P2P network. Model of IEDL is proved to have the ability to simulate the behavior of the peers in P2P. Considering the network topology structure of the P2P system is our future work needed.
