Abstract :
Making use of electromagnetic signals radiated by electric discharges, a computer based digital estimator is developed to identify the location of the source. Using measurements of the electric field at three different observation points. Both the location of the source and the rate of rise of current are determined. The estimator is designed to operate in a high noise environment by employing a model based signal processor.
