Abstract :
The eigenmode characteristics of a partially metal-loaded waveguide are studied using the imaginary-distance BPM and compared with those estimated from Marcatili´s method. The minimum propagation loss is found to be about 4 dB/mm at a wavelength of 0.6328 mum.
