Abstract :
This paper addresses the problem of designing the finite wordlength (FWL) optimal state space structure of digital filters with delta parametrization, based on the method used and the results obtained for the usual shift operator parametrizations. We present the framework through which the optimal shift realisation has been designed. We then show that the optimal shift realization and the optimal delta realization have the same FWL performances
