Abstract :
In the paper, the non-sensor control method of the sliding mode observer (SMO) was proposed and used for estimating the rotor position and speed of the Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM). Based on linear inductance model of SRM, the motor position and speed of the SRM was estimated by the phase voltage and current. With the soft of Matlab-Simulink, a simulation model with the SMO for the SRM was built up. The simulation results show that the method can estimate the rotor position and velocity, and has strong robustness and a certain feasibility.
