Abstract :
The input impedance and the radiation pattern of normal mode helical antenna over a finite size ground plane are investigated. The problem is formulated in terms of surface integral equation based on the reaction concept. The current distribution along the helical wire as well as on the ground plane is determined using the method of moments.
