Abstract
A novel switched-mode AC/AC voltage regulator with series connected compensation is developed. This regulator consists of a switched-mode power factor correction AC-DC rectifier and a phase controlled DC-AC inverter. Analysis and design of the regulator is given. A 1 kVA prototype circuit is built. The experimental results show good performance of its application
