Abstract :
How to weight expert´s opinion is an important issue for determining a consensus in group decision-making. In this paper, we propose a method, called the linguistic weighted entropy method (LWEM), to assign a weight to the opinion of an expert when he/she expresses his/her preference in terms of linguistic variable. Based on LWEM and the optimal aggregation method (OAM), we introduce the entropy-based aggregation method (EAM), in which fuzzy distance is used to evaluate consensus. An example is presented to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of EAM. By examining the computational results, we notice that EAM is more flexible than OAM because that the weight of expert´s opinion is considered. In fact, it can be shown that OAM is a special case of EAM.
