Abstract :
This paper describes the design methodology of a high frequency zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) PWM forward power converter for DC distributed power systems. A DC analysis of the forward ZVS-PWM converter is presented. The voltage conversion ratio characteristics and the voltage and current stresses of main components are characterised. The results of the analysis are verified by experiments and simulation. Based on the analysis, a procedure for designing the converter is established
