Abstract :
The introduction of MPLS has resulted in a rapid increase in the traffic on networks to make new service opportunities possible. MPLS is evolved into a way to provide a differentiated service whose theme is to guarantee quality of service (QoS). Also, there are increased needs to guarantee high-speed switching and expansion supported by giga/tera routers in MPLS. This paper suggests the structure of a router which guarantees QoS and that high-speed switching is possible. The switch is an extended system of queueing of each VOQ (virtual output queuing) and PHB (per-hop-behaviour) in the manner of input queuing for QoS: the priority-iSLIP algorithm is used for scheduling. The suggested structure is modeled in C++ and verified.
