Abstract
A novel method for automatic synthesis of analog circuits is presented. Circuit behavior is used as the basic information for topology derivation. New algorithms are combined with the knowledge-based approach to provide a formal reasoning framework for synthesis problem solving. For a given design problem heuristic algorithms make the method to be able to produce different circuit topologies which do not necessarily exist in the library
