Abstract :
Digital watermarking is one of the solutions to ownership protection and authenticity of digital images. In this paper, two existing watermarking schemes are reviewed and their shortcomings are highlighted. These schemes are based on singular value decomposition. The authors propose an improved SVD-based technique that is more resistant to different types of attacks. In addition, it improves the sensitivity and reliability of the watermarking scheme. Experimental results have shown that the performance of the proposed scheme is much better than the existing schemes
