Abstract :
This work proposed an on-line rotor resistance estimation method for the direct field oriented control of an induction motor drive. MRAS method by using the instantaneous reactive power (IRP) as models is utilized. This approach is completely robust to the stator resistance´s thermal variation. Moreover, it doesn´t use the pure integrator so that It has not the problems of the drift and the initial condition. The principle of the estimation is studied. The validity of this method is verified by simulation and experiment.
