  • Abstract
A linear voltage-to-current converter that operates with a single supply voltage close to a transistor´s threshold voltage and that has almost rail-rail input and output swings is introduced. The circuit is conceived as an input interface for current-mode signal processing systems. It also has applications for the implementation of other very low-voltage circuits like instrumentation amplifiers and common mode feedback control circuits. Simulations and experimental results of a test chip prototype in 1.2 μm CMOS technology are presented that verify the functionality of the proposed circuit and its broadband characteristics
