Abstract :
A method for testing the identifiability of linear time-invariant differential algebraic equation systems based on generalized Markov parameters is proposed by S. Vajda (1985) for ordinarily differential equation systems. The generalized Markov parameters are computed, and their connection to identifiability is discussed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for identifiability of linear time-invariant differential algebraic systems are given. Finally, an idealized gas-phase chemical reactor is used to demonstrate the method.
