Abstract :
This paper summarizes an experimental evaluation of the impact that fractal compression has on signal processing algorithms which rely on cross correlation. This was done by evaluating errors in the amplitude and location of peaks in the correlation function. The results were obtained by simulating an algorithm designed to locate sources in a rapidly fading propagation environment
