Abstract :
Internal combustion engine - generator system is a traditional heat - electricity conversion system which is used widely, it has long energy conversion route and low efficiency. Integrating the structures and features of both engine generator and liner generator, Electric Power Confined Piston Engine (abbreviation ECPE) is developed. ECPE can turn heat energy into electrical energy directly, its structure is compact and its efficiency is high. Tests showed that ECPE can output sinusoidal voltage, it can be used in vehicle, military, standby power, etc. The operation principal and characteristics of ECPE is discussed, and some applications are illustrated.
