Abstract :
This paper presents a class of broadband monopole-based antennas for indoor wireless local area network applications. Through optimization of the antenna´s physical shape, different structures for both the base station and the mobile terminal are designed and developed. These antennas have been successfully incorporated in a 2.4 GHz 25 Mbps prototype PC card test-bed system.
