Abstract
Quantised chaotic sequences can be used as broadband signals in communication and measurement. In this paper we provide a comprehensive statistical analysis of sequences obtained by quantising the chaotic trajectory of piecewise linear n-dimensional Markov systems. On the base of the function space description of chaotic systems explicit expressions for correlation functions and characteristic functions of arbitrary order are derived. Finally we demonstrate how the analysis can be applied to quantised correlation sequence design
